Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Opportunities in Johnson County

wBucky

St. Francis Animal Shelter issues spay/neuter certificates.  These are funded by the City 1% sales tax revenues.  The certificates cover half of the special prices set by Johnson County vets, which means the following co-pay fees are collected when the certificate is issued:  $27 for a cat neuter, $48 for a cat spay, $50 for a dog neuter and $55 for a dog spay.  The pet owners pay the vets the other half, plus any extra fees due to the animal being pregnant, in heat, or cryptorchid.

Business hours for St. Francis are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Mondays – Fridays and 8 a.m. – noon on Saturdays.  For more information, call the shelter at 307-684-1738.
